Dr. Ilana Davine is a psychologist who completed her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D) at the Adler University in Chicago, Illinois. At The Therapy Centre, she provides assessment and treatment services to both adolescents and adults.
Dr. Davine’s clinical experiences and interests involve treating individuals presenting with a variety of concerns, including mood and anxiety disorders, issues with self-esteem, self-harm behaviours, as well as LGBTQ+ mental health and issues related to sexual and gender identity. Dr. Davine completed her doctoral dissertation in the area of addictions and has specialized training in treating individuals with substance use disorders.
Dr. Davine’s previous clinical experiences include working in private practice and hospital settings providing assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents, adults and their families for mood and anxiety disorders and trauma-related disorders. She has also worked in substance abuse recovery facilities in Chicago, Illinois and Palm Beach, Florida where she provided both individual and group therapy.
Dr. Davine’s therapeutic approach is client-centered, collaborative, nonjudgmental, queer and trans-positive, and incorporates cognitive behavioural techniques.
Dr. Davine is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario and the Ontario Psychological Association.
