Equine Assisted Therapy (Horse Therapy)
We work in partnership with equine specialists to offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). Equine Therapy (sometimes called Equestrian or Horse Therapy) is a form of therapy that makes use of horses while they are on the ground (no riding is involved). Equine therapy is helpful for a wide range of client needs including improving self-confidence, developing assertiveness and healthy boundaries, building trust, forming healthier relationships, healing from trauma, developing focus and concentration for persons with ADHD, building leadership skills, uncovering issues related to depression, and there are many other possible applications. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy can be offered on its own or as a part of traditional office-based psychotherapy.
