Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Ambreen Basria is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist for Adults and Families in Ontario. She has a doctorate degree in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Irvine and a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University.

Dr. Basria has a wide array of interest, from working with, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, fertility issues, postpartum issues, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, relationship issues, adjustment disorders, stress, low self esteem, and parenting challenges. She has also worked with LGBTQ populations, with a special emphasis on working with individuals who identify as gender non-conforming.

Dr. Basria utilizes a variety of different treatment approaches, catering treatment to fit the needs of each individual client or family. She has a particular interest in using solution focused, humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and emotion focused approaches towards treatment.

Dr. Basria works at the Oakville Location and offers virtual services throughout Ontario.
