Dr. Frida Marshi Nasser is a psychologist who completed her first Master of Science degree with a major in Applied Educational Psychology and a concentration in School Counseling (M.A.) at Bouve’ College of Health Sciences, Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She completed her second Master of Arts in Social Science (M.A.) in Clinical and Educational Psychology and her Doctorate (Ph.D.) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Psychology, University of Haifa, Israel.
She is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and currently completing her supervised practice in the areas of Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology.
At The Therapy Centre, she provides assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Marshi Nasser has interest and a wide range of experience working with children, adolescents and adults with a wide variety of problems such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, developmental disorders, chronic stress, self esteem difficulties, behaviour problems, interpersonal and relational issues, school and learning issues, parenting, and many other issues.
Additionally, Dr. Marshi provides assessment and treatment services to individuals who have been in a Motor Vehicle Accident.
Dr. Marshi Nasser works within a Psychodynamic Psychotherapy approach, and incorporates Developmental Psychotherapy, Play Psychotherapy, Dyadic Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) in treatment. She also provides therapeutic work with parents as well as counseling and guidance.
Dr. Marshi Nasser’s previous professional and clinical experiences include working in a private practice, inpatient and outpatient hospital clinics, outpatient community mental health clinic settings, a clinic for child development, educational psychological services, including schools.
