Dr. Jenn Deffendall, Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychologist

Dr. Jenn Deffendall, C. Psych

Dr. Jenn Deffendall is a registered Psychologist who received her Ph.D. from the University of Central Florida.

She currently works in private practice providing comprehensive assessment and treatment services in the areas of clinical and rehabilitation psychology.

Dr. Deffendall has extensive training and experience working with a range of problems including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, health-related issues including chronic pain, and addictions (alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, and other substances). She primarily works within a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) framework, with the ability to integrate elements of specialized treatments (such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy/DBT, Motivational Interviewing/MI) as needed to ensure treatment is effective.

Dr. Deffendall’s professional background is diverse: she has trained and worked in private practice, inpatient and outpatient hospital clinics, residential treatment, community counseling and university settings. She completed her residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

Dr. Deffendall’s approach to treatment is warm, caring and collaborative. She builds a strong therapeutic relationship with clients, which forms the basis for working together to understand and develop the skills needed to manage difficult life problems.

Dr. Deffendall is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, (CPO), the Ontario and Canadian Psychological Associations (OPA, CPA) and the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment (CAPDA).

Dr. Jenn Deffendall works out of the Oakville Location and offers virtual services throughout Ontario.
