Whitney Albright, M.A. Counselling Psychology (in progress)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Whitney is completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is eager to apply the knowledge and skills she has gained throughout her education. Her professional background includes extensive experience with community organizations, where relationship management, storytelling, and people connections were central to her work. These skills now enhance her therapeutic practice, allowing her to approach clients with empathy and insight, recognizing the power of human connection in facilitating change.
During Whitney’s practicum she will be supervised by Tammy Benwell, MSW, RSW. Whitney provides services to adults and couples. Her areas of focus include: navigating significant life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, depression and self-esteem and confidence issues. She incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Therapy within an integrative approach, emphasizing the use of strategic questions to encourage meaningful change in a nonjudgmental and supportive environment.
Her philosophy is grounded in the belief that people have the capacity to change and overcome challenges. Whitney recognizes that personal growth and transformation are unique to each individual and views this journey as an ongoing and imperfect process. She is dedicated to helping clients access their inner strength, recognize their potential, and take steps toward the lives they envision.
Whitney is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Whitney works at the Oakville Location and provides services virtually across Ontario.
