Becca Stein, M.A. (Currently on Maternity Leave)

Clinical Therapist

Becca Stein has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and over 5 years of experience providing individual psychotherapy and diagnostic assessments. She is currently working toward registration with The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). She mainly works with adult clients in the community setting.

She has interest and experience working with both neurotypical and neurodiverse adults (i.e., those with attention-deficit/hyperactivity or autism spectrum disorders), with her primary focus of treatment being mood and anxiety disorders. She has also worked with clients on a wide range of other issues, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), emotion regulation difficulties, problematic substance use and body-focused repetitive behaviours (e.g., trichotillomania), perfectionism and sleep therapy.

Becca works primarily from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, but often incorporates elements of other therapeutic modalities, such as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She is also comfortable and experienced working in a less structured way to support clients through stressors, life transitions or areas of personal growth (e.g., gender transitioning, career changes, grief).

Becca believes that genuine and collaborative curiosity can lay a strong foundation for treatment success. Her approach has been described as warm and authentic, with a little bit of humour mixed in.

Becca Stein works at the Toronto Location and offers virtual services throughout Ontario.
