Dr. Brenda Wiley, C.Psych.

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Brenda Wiley is a clinical psychologist who obtained a Ph.D. in School Psychology at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. After completing her Supervised Practice at The Therapy Centre, she returned to the United States and worked at a community mental health facility before developing the Assessment program at a pediatric therapy centre in the Chicagoland area. She has returned to The Therapy Center to provide assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents (including college age), and parents.

Dr. Wiley has worked in a variety of settings, including: a community mental health centre, private practice, schools, a children’s hospital, and an outpatient pediatric therapy centre. Coming from a School Psychology background, she has extensive training in psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments. She has expertise evaluating Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and providing diagnostic differentiation on various emotional (including anxiety, depression, etc.) and behavioral conditions.

Dr. Wiley works with children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health concerns involving anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion dysregulation, OCD, ADHD, perfectionism, and others. Her treatment approach is predominantly based in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with elements of Behaviour Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Therapy. Dr. Wiley focuses on building a safe and warm atmosphere for clients using empathy, collaboration, and genuine positive regard.
She is a member of The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
