Ashley Petrie is a Registered Social Worker who received her Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU).
Ashley works in private practice supporting children, adolescents, adults and parents experiencing a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, self-esteem, life transitions, perfectionism, parenting challenges as well as school and behavioural issues. Ashley has a special interest in supporting women during the perinatal period through loss, pregnancy, and postpartum. Specifically, she has specialized training in perinatal mental health, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy and infant loss, birth trauma, and parenting support.
Ashley utilizes a variety of strength-based therapeutic approaches tailored to the individual needs of her clients. She has training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Ashley practices from a trauma-informed care lens with a focus on self-compassion and healing.
Ashley is passionate about supporting clients and provides a safe, supportive, compassionate, and client-centered environment. She recognizes that each person is unique and will work with clients to help overcome their challenges and meet their goals.
Ashley is a Registered Social Worker and is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
