Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Tazvin Ijaz is a registered Clinical and Counselling Psychologist providing psychological services to adults across Ontario. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and completed her postdoctoral training at York University in Toronto.
Dr. Ijaz is committed to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion, professionalism, and evidence-based care. With over 18 years of clinical consultation experience in both Pakistan and Canada, she brings a depth of cultural sensitivity and clinical expertise to her work. She supports adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment disorders, Anger Issues, ADHD, Grief and loss, Obsessive-compulsive disorder, Fears and phobias, Stress and burnout, Relationship difficulties, Life transitions, Immigration and acculturation challenges, Assertiveness, Self-esteem, self-image, and Parenting concerns.
Dr. Ijaz offers therapy in English, Urdu/Hindi, and Punjabi. She uses an eclectic, client-centred approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Gestalt Therapy. Her interventions are carefully tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients can explore their experiences, gain insight, and develop practical coping strategies. Dr. Ijaz believes strongly in the transformative power of therapy to promote resilience, personal growth, and lasting change.
Dr. Ijaz is a member of The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) and the Ontario Psychological Association.
Dr. Ijaz works at the Oakville Location and offers virtual services throughout Ontario.
