Sarah Bewley, MA, CFA
Practicum Student
Sarah Bewley is in the process of completing her Master’s degree from Yorkville University in Counselling Psychology. Sarah has completed all of the coursework and is excited to utilize what she has learned during the program and her personal life experience. While mental health and helping others has always been a passion for Sarah, she also comes with a tenured and successful career navigating the corporate world.
During Sarah’s practicum she will be supervised by Tammy Benwell, MSW, RSW. Sarah will provide services to adolescents, adults and couples. Her areas of focus include relationship issues, emotional distress, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and self-esteem.
Sarah offers an eclectic model of therapy that is rooted in attachment theory and depending on the client, integrates interventions from Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Gestalt Therapy.
Throughout the years, Sarah has come to realize that everyone struggles with something at some point and her client centered approach allows Sarah to connect with clients where they are emotionally. She creates a non-judgmental, emotionally safe, and genuine environment so that the client feels heard and supported.
Upon graduation, Sarah plans to become registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Sarah works at the Oakville Location location and offers virtual services throughout Ontario.
