Rhonda is a Registered Social Worker who received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor. Currently she works in private practice supporting children, adolescents, adults and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, anger, poor self-esteem, family conflict, peer conflict, marital issues, and difficulties in school. Rhonda works predominantly from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach and incorporate elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy(DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution- Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and Trauma-Informed interventions into my work. Rhonda recently completed her training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy which she uses to treat a number of psychological issues.
Rhonda believes that there is no greater joy than helping others in difficult situations. Rhonda has 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and couples through challenging moments in their lives. As a therapist, Rhonda aims to encourage and empower clients to build on their skills and strengths to overcome challenges and achieve their desired goals of mental wellness.
Rhonda is passionate about creating a calm, non-judgemental, safe space for clients by utilizing a strength-based, client-centered and trauma informed approach in her practice.
Rhonda is a Registered Social Worker and is in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
